Q: Queen
R: Rook
B: Bishop
N: Knight
(none): Pawn — written by its square, e.g. e4

Symbols

x — capture (Bxe5, exd5)
+ — check · # — checkmate
O-O — castle kingside · O-O-O — castle queenside
=Q — promotion (e8=Q)
Rad1 — a file, rank or both identify the mover when identical pieces could legally reach the same square
